Stripping Agent
Stripping agents are used for dye removal from bad dyed cloth produced by faulty dyeing. Quartery ammonium compound with long chain alkyl are effective. Poly vinyl pyrrolidone based agents are used for stripping vat, sulphur and direct dyes.
Stripping agents remove old lacquer, paint or synthetic mortar, dispersion paints, waterbased lacquer or concrete skin easily. Strippers remove layers from solvent proof surfaces such as concrete, cementitious surfaces, wood and metal.
Stripping is one of the reproduction processes, used in textile finishing, removing dyes from colored fabric. The process is either termed as 'back stripping' or 'destructive stripping'.
