Oligomer is a by-product being generated during polyester elaboration, and it always stays in the polyester fiber. During the polyester dyeing, polyester fiber swells at high temperature and the oligomer comes out on its surface.
Oligomers are products that are widely used to make detergents, lubricant additives, drilling fluids and a range of other products.
Dispersing agents are non-ionic surfactants, such as alkyl-polyethyleneglycol. They are one of the most widely used auxiliaries in the textile industry, especially for polyester dyeing with disperse dyes.
Prevents oligomer re-deposition
Removes white deposits
Better combing performance
Improved washing
Oligomers can be removed with liquors that contain quaternary ammonium salts, which have an alkaline pH of 8 to 14. The pH can be adjusted with a base such as sodium hydroxide solution or potassium hydroxide solution.
Oligomers can form linear chains like polymers, but due to their reduced size, they can also exhibit more complex three-dimensional configurations.
