Leveling & Dispersing Agent

Leveling & Dispersing Agent

Leveling agents, also known as retarding agents, slow down the uptake of dye by fibers, resulting in a more uniform color in the textile fiber. Dispersing agents help disperse dye on polyester during HT dyeing, and improve the leveling effect. They also keep the dye in dispersed form, prevent dye aggregation and precipitation, and increase dye solubility.

In the textile industry, leveling and dispersing agents are used to improve the stability of dye baths and to produce more uniform colors.

Dispersing agents are non-ionic surfactants, such as alkyl-polyethyleneglycol. They are one of the most widely used auxiliaries in the textile industry, especially for polyester dyeing with disperse dyes.

Use Of Leveling & Dispersing Agent In Textile industry

Effects Of Leveling & Dispersing Agent :

  • Keep the dye in dispersed form

  • Increase dye solubility

  • Optimize the reproductibility of results

  • Avoid dye aggregation and precipitation

What are Leveling & Dispersing Agent In Textile Industry?

Levelling agent are chemical agent's that work on the dye molecule and help in fixing the dye particles uniformly which enables to obtain uniform shade.
Dispersing agents help disperse dye on polyester during HT dyeing, and improve the leveling effect.

Function Of Leveling & Dispersing Agent In Textile Industry?

Leveling agents, also called retarding agents, help produce more uniform colors in textiles by slowing down the dye uptake of fibers. Dispersing agents improve the leveling and migration of disperse dye on polyester during HT dyeing.
